Introduction

Operational Technology (OT) devices, integral in controlling and monitoring industrial processes, have
become prime targets for cyberattacks. Since late 2023, there has been a notable increase in attacks on
internet-exposed OT devices, threatening to disrupt critical industrial processes and cause significant
system outages. Many OT systems are inadequately secured, making them easy prey for attackers who
exploit weak passwords and outdated software.
