Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly reshaped the cybersecurity landscape and simultaneously presents
both exciting advancements while also introducing new challenges. As AI’s role in the tactics of both
cyber attackers and defenders develops and becomes increasingly sophisticated, organizations must
evolve alongside this shift, and create effective strategies that protect their assets and remain
competitive. Cyber defenders must develop strategies that hone agility, proactivity, and iteration.
The Impact of AI on Cyber Threats and Defenses
AI has gained notoriety as a mixed blessing in cybersecurity. It indisputably offers significant benefits; it
enhances security by recognising patterns, providing real-time monitoring, predicting threats, and
streamlining threat detection processes. On the other hand, malicious actors, from state-sponsored
