4. European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) Preparation

The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regulation will fully take
effect on May 25, 2018, forcing organizations around the world to comply with the broad range
of stringent security, privacy and data location/protection mandates, or incur onerous penalties.

When asked, “Is your organization preparing for the EU GDPR?” a full 67% of respondents said
that their organizations were busy preparing.
