How to Protect Your Info
Hackers, scammers and cyber criminals have come a long way over the years as the need for
help to battle this growing crime has increased dramatically year after year. To help you protect
these very important bits of information, there is a lot that you yourself can do. The bulk of the
responsibility for guarding your information lies with you and you need to guard it all closely.
Make sure that you never use any part of your birth date, social security number, or credit card
or bank account number as part of your username or password. Do not use any actual dates on
social media sites and do not use them as part of your log in info either. Never write down
passwords and pin’s to keep in your wallet or store them on your phone because both can be
easily stolen.

It is a day and age that is ruled by technology, digital devices, and long distance
communications and connections. Every person who uses your personal information in their
files is a potential gold mine for hackers and ID thieves. Nowadays hackers do not have to hack
your computer, they can hack into any computer that has stored your information and get
access to all of your personal info. Knowing some of the basic ways these thieves attack and
what you can do to help protect yourself can go a long way in keeping your information secure,
your identity safe, and your future looking bright.
