• The first step in the process is establishing an SSL connection to the Security Server.
• Once you have established the secure connection, the BlueZone Security Server will go
through the process to authenticate you and your connection.
• The third step can occur in one of two ways depending on your needs. You can either
have data transfer through a secure, clear text connection to the FTP server or host, or
you can request an encrypted connection be added as well.
• The final security step is SSL encryption between the Security Server and yourself. This
final measure ensures that your privacy, access, integrity, and data stream are all
protected throughout the transfer.

BlueZone Access Server or Web to Host

When choosing terminal emulation file transfer systems, there are some considerations to help
you choose the best option for your needs. The major difference between these options is that
the Access Server is three-tier, while the Web to Host is to two-tier. The Access Server is
recommended for organizations that require HTML emulation for public access, while still
running a secure connection over HTTP protocol for added security.

The Web to Host terminal emulation option is recommended when replacing a thick client. This
will allow deployment, launching, and management through the server for the sessions, but
does not require the server once the connection is established.
