threatening to the average Joe’s and Jane’s in Anytown, U.S.A. It is a backburner item until it disrupts our daily way of life, much like 9/11 did. Compromise and government transparency is a lot for each side to give into. But I can’t see another way to reduce the threat of an all-out industrial base cyber-attack by a malicious government that would change the way we live, much like 9/11 did. The difference I suspect will be evidenced in the way we access the Internet, not too far removed from the change in how we access airport terminals today versus pre-9/11.
