Summary

The only way to stem the tide of red ink around the failure of enterprises and governments to
protect their constituents, employees and customer involves cyber testing to ensure that
networks are not vulnerable to cyberattacks, and for training administrative personnel to react in
real-time to these attacks.

While cyber testing is difficult, existing technologies for public and private cloud sandboxing can
be readily applied to the problem. Sandboxing ensures that testing is isolated from production,
accurately replicates the real production network environment, traffic and load, and allows for
system-wide testing of applications, network security devices, and the teams that are in place to
respond to cyber threats in real time.
