As I worked my way towards the back of the expo hall, it was nearly closing time.
Would I find any vendor that truly could be considered most innovative and best of
show? I was doubtful. And then I stumbled upon FFRI-Inc of Japan. Nothing fancy to
show. A basic booth but a message that hit me smack on the forehead – precognitive
defense. I thought this couldn’t be. A company listing the latest threats over the past
few years and how, without a signature, their antivirus engine was able to block these
               threats.

All I could say was “when are you guys coming to the USA?” – they have a proven track
record in Japan and remind me of BlackICE, the world’s first Host-based Intrusion
               Prevention System (HIPS) for Windows.

Yes, they are coming to America. Great news. Unlike the hype we’ve been hearing
about ‘next generation antivirus’ and ‘malware defense’, this company put their money
where their mouth is – solely into great R&D and innovations and very little into
branding and buzz. That’s changing. They hired a very talented and passionate CEO
for US operations, Pablo Garcia. He has spent the last 18 years as a cybersecurity
subject matter expert, gaining insight into network security, advanced malware
detection, breach detection, network forensics, penetration testing, business risk, and
               compliance.
