Driving Egypt’s Digital Economy and Society Transformation Through Intelligent Technologies
As part of the national 2030 Vision, the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has launched its Digital Egypt Project, establishing a digitalisation strategy to transform the country into a digital society and global telecom and tech centre through three key pillars: digital transformation, skills and jobs, and innovation.
To this end, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen the regulatory framework and ICT infrastructure and boost digital transformation. Several regulations such as the Anti-cybercrime Law, the E-payments Act, and Personal Data Protection Law have also been introduced to foster a digital economy and a budget of EGP 12.7 billion ($797 million) has been allocated for gradual digital transformation in the FY2020/21.
In line with these developments, the Egypt Emerging Technologies Forum is hosted to provide a platform for the information and communication technology community in Egypt to explore the latest emerging technologies and innovations. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with leading international advanced technology experts and consultants and shed light on key challenges faced in digitalisation and intelligent technologies implementation and identify solutions to overcome them.
