Jordan has embarked on a journey to position itself as a technology hub serving the globe. Great strides have been made, but development and investment are still needed to make this initiative as successful as possible. A digitally-driven, intelligent nation requires digital-savvy citizens and the right ecosystem to continue the momentum of innovation throughout the country.
Digital infrastructure, skills, entrepreneurship, and digital financial services and platforms are the main areas of focus for the Jordanian government to reach its vision of creating a secure and inclusive digital economy that achieves sustainable socio-econimic development. This has been aided by the World Bank Group’s US$200 million project to increase access for Jordanian youth to jobs and expand government digital services.
Taking place on the 15th of September 2021, the Digital Transformation Jordan Digi-Conference will provide a platform and meeting place for Jordan’s digital influencers, and players, and international digitalisation and technology experts to examine how best to take advantage of the progress already made, and identify how to effectively overcome the potential challenges on the horizon.
